Donna Kimbrell was an accountant for Enron before giving herself over to the visual world. Although winning awards including being featured in the International edition of National Wildlife Magazine, her main focus is producing images that have an impact - the 'ahh factor' - the vocalization people make when they are taken by surprise, when they see something that WOW's them.
Donna Kimbrell descirbes it the best: "I love photographs that tell a story-it is the life quest that I am now on. The subjects I love most capturing are the most common everyday items that are in their finest moments - a cottonwood seed caught on a branch and illuminated by the setting sun or a wet maple leaf in full fall colors lying on a rough tree trunk. I want the viewer of my work to see the absolutely awesome beauty that is around us all."
