The term spalted refers to black lines or areas in the piece of wood that have reached a state of decay or a decease was let into the tree where bugs have damaged the tree bark. As the decease progresses through the tree you will see black lines. Approximate Size: 7 3/4 inches high with a 4 1/2 inch diameter. Artist: Harold Adams.
