The Cedar Bowl was turned from a cross section of a cedar tree from Alma, NE. The bowl measures 11 3/4" diameter and 5 1/4" tall. Because cedar is a cross grain wood and this tree was dying it was already in a drying out stage there are cracks or fissures near the outside rim leaving holes in the bowl. These fissures are located where the red coloration in the grain spikes upward. Artist: Harold Adams.
